Water jet

Water jet cutting is one of the latest technologies which we employ to cut practically any sheet material. The process will produce an extremely accurate finish. High quality components are cut to within +/- 0.3 mm, without a heat effected zone and little distortion. Twin headed machines ensure fast and accurate repeatability with a cut size up to 3000 mm * 2000 mm and up to 150 mm in thickness.

What is water jet cutting ?

The combination of water and garnet allows the water jet to cut many different materials including those on the materials link page. Cutting speeds and prices vary depending on the materials being cut. For example 1 mm thick mild steel would be cut at approximately 2.5 metres per minute, where as 50 mm mild steel plate would be cut at only 28 mm per minute.
